📋 Program Hakkında
The Master's program in Translation (M.A.) focuses on intensive study of chosen working languages from a selection of 13 possible foreign languages. Students explore the relationship between languages and cultures, addressing methodological and theoretical questions. The program covers modern translation and cultural theories, teaching how to analyze linguistic and cultural phenomena using methodological-theoretical approaches. Students acquire professional translation skills for one or two foreign languages and their cultures, along with foundational knowledge in translation studies, linguistics, and cultural studies. Depending on the chosen specialization, the program covers all aspects of translation (specialized translation, translation and language management, literary and media translation) or interpreting (conference interpreting, specialized interpreting/community interpreting). The program offers excellent academic training and prepares students optimally for careers in the translation and interpreting industry, as well as in research and teaching.
