📋 Program Hakkında

Globalization and migration processes are increasing the need for academically qualified communications experts. The degree program Language and Communication in the Global Media Society links theoretical approaches from the areas of language, culture and media studies with perspectives from intercultural communication and multilingualism research. Students learn to apply oral and written forms of communication in specific ways that are appropriate to the addressee, the media, and the situation. The goal is to provide students with differentiated linguistic/communicative and intercultural competencies. This degree program qualifies students for work in settings marked by linguistic/cultural diversity and rapid media changes. An external four-week internship is an integral part of the program. This subject must be combined with a second subject. Possible career paths include internal or external communications of organizations, public relations, social media management, personnel development, communications consulting, development cooperation, and academia.
