The additional qualification 'Translation and Language Comparison' can be acquired by all students at the Neuphilological Institute (i.e., Bachelor's, teaching, Master's, and PhD students). It offers students of English/American Studies, Romance Studies, and Slavic Studies the opportunity to acquire translation skills for their studied language(s) beyond their regular studies. The program aims to develop theoretical foundations of translation and deepen cultural knowledge and understanding of structural differences between source and target languages to translate various text types, including technical and literary texts. These skills can be demonstrated with the qualification and thus improve one's application profile.
