Jeodezi ve Jeoinformatik, jeo-uzamsal verileri ve süreçleri kaydetme, yönetme, analiz etme ve sunma bilimi olarak, yaşam alanlarımızın ve ekonomik bölgelerimizin yapılarıyla ilgilenir. Jeobilimden mühendisliğe ve sosyal bilimlere uzanan, çevre bilimleri, arazi yönetimi ve mekansal planlama ile sonuçlanan bir alanı kapsar. Program, sürdürülebilir arazi kullanım sistemlerinin planlanması ile sürekli değişen yapılı ve henüz yapılmamış çevrenin kaydedilmesi ve görselleştirilmesiyle ilgilenir. Jeodezi ve Jeoinformatik, fotogrametri, metroloji, navigasyon, coğrafi bilgi sistemleri ve coğrafi görselleştirme alanlarını da kapsayan modern bir ölçme biçimini temsil eder. Jeodezi ve Jeoinformatik Master programı, üç özel uzmanlık alanına odaklanmaktadır: jeodezi (eski jeodezik ölçüm teknolojisi), jeoinformatik (eski jeo-bilgi teknolojisi) ve hidrografi. Program, Alman Akreditasyon Kurulu ASIIN'den akreditasyon almıştır. Hidrografi uzmanlığı, Almanya'da benzersiz bir özellik sunmaktadır: program, FIG/IHO/ICA Uluslararası Hidrografik Sörveyörler ve Deniz Haritacıları Yeterlilik Standartları Kurulu tarafından uluslararası olarak A kategorisi program (en yüksek seviye) olarak sertifikalandırılmıştır. Eğitim pratik ve proje odaklıdır.

Geodesy and Geoinformatics, as the science of recording, administering, analysing and presenting geospatial data and processes, deals with the structures of our living spaces and economic areas. It covers an area ranging from geoscience to engineering and social sciences culminating in the environmental sciences, land management and spatial planning. The program is involved in the planning of sustainable land use systems and the recording and visualisation of the constantly changing built and as yet unbuilt environment. Geodesy and Geoinformatics stands for a modern form of surveying, which also covers the areas of photogrammetry, metrology, navigation, geographical information systems as well as geographical visualisation. The Master in Geodesy and Geoinformatics focuses on three specific areas of specialization: geodesy (former geodetic measurement technology), geoinformatics (former geo-information technology), and hydrography. The program has received accreditation from the German Accreditation Board ASIIN. The specialisation in Hydrography presents a distinctive feature, unique in Germany: the programme has been internationally certified as category A programme (the highest level) by the FIG/IHO/ICA International Board on Standard of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers. The training is practical and project-oriented.
