📋 Program Hakkında

The Romanistik (two language domains) Bachelor program focuses on Romance languages that evolved from Latin and are now widely spoken across almost all continents. At the University of Halle, students can study French, Spanish, and Italian. In this 120 LP (credit points) program, students select two of these three language domains and study their languages, literatures, and cultures - including regions beyond European borders. The program emphasizes Spanish-speaking regions in Latin America and Francophone regions in the Caribbean. For Italian, which was politically unified only at the end of the 19th century and has a less pronounced colonial past, the focus is more on a single country. The goal is an intensive scientific introduction to the fundamentals, specifics, and diversity of language, literature, and culture in two of the three language domains: French, Spanish, and Italian.
