The Applied Physics program with a focus on Computer Science offers a balanced combination of physics and engineering content, with approximately 60% physics and 40% engineering. Within the engineering component, computer science dominates with about 60%. The program provides an excellent teacher-to-student ratio. Compared to a regular physics program, it focuses less on theoretical training and mathematics, and more on potential applications of basic research. Students will gain fundamental knowledge in classical physics, quantum physics, atomic and molecular physics, nuclear physics, elementary particle physics, and solid-state physics. They will also develop elementary knowledge in software development and computer science, as well as basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills in technical mechanics, construction methodology, and electronics. The program serves as a bridge between science and technology, preparing graduates for interdisciplinary challenges in an increasingly international environment.
