The Bachelor of Materials Science program focuses on developing innovative materials, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, and modern recycling methods. Students learn about the structure and properties of materials like metal, glass, and plastic, as well as their manufacturing, processing, application, and commercial use. The program incorporates engineering and scientific knowledge, addressing future-oriented questions about materials for energy supply, replacement of critical raw materials, and recycling. The curriculum includes practical work in university laboratories, project work in the fifth semester, and a 12-week specialist internship in the sixth semester. No basic internship is required. The program prepares graduates for development and research-intensive positions in science, industry, and administration, with the option to continue with a master's program.
