📋 Program Hakkında

In the Master of Education in Chemistry, students deepen their subject-specific and didactic knowledge to prepare for teaching chemistry. The program focuses on teaching chemistry safely and understandably, planning and evaluating complex experiments, and designing methodologically varied chemistry lessons. Students study all core areas of chemistry - organic, inorganic and physical chemistry - and reflect on subject content in the teaching context. The program requires students to continue two main academic subjects (27 ECTS credits each), complemented by the Pedagogical Additional Subject (33 CP), a 12-week school practice semester (16 CP), and a master's thesis (17 CP). The Chemistry major includes modules in Advanced Lectures I (Organic Chemistry or Physical Chemistry), Advanced Lectures II (Inorganic Chemistry), Advanced Practical Course, and Didactics II.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry for Secondary School Teaching or equivalent program with teaching components * Minimum 62 CP in Chemistry (General Chemistry: 15 CP, Inorganic Chemistry: 14 CP, Organic Chemistry: 15 CP, Physical Chemistry: 18 CP) * At least 30% of credit points in Chemistry earned through practical components (laboratory courses) * Subject didactics to the extent of 7 CP * Depending on subject combination: Mathematics or Applied Chemistry or Physics: 8 CP each * Proof of personal aptitude as a future teacher (participation in the Karlsruhe Individual Aptitude Check for Teachers or equivalent program)
