Graduates of the two-subject Bachelor's programme with the subject "Physics" should have a structured specialised knowledge of the school-relevant sub-areas of physics as well as a solid overview of more advanced contents of physics. They should be able to link different sub-fields of physics through the understanding of important common concepts and be able to work out current issues of physics research independently. They should be well acquainted with the methodology of physical research and the modelling and mathematical treatment of simple physical systems. In the subject-specific practical courses, they should learn the experimental methods of scientific work, the handling of experimental set-ups and the interpretation of measurement results. They should know and understand basic approaches of physics didactic research and try them out in practice at extracurricular learning locations.
