History is offered as a major or minor within the two-subject Bachelor's degree programme. The program focuses on ancient, medieval and modern history. Students can choose from four study objectives: subject-specific study goal, Teacher Training Course for Gymnasien, or Teacher Training Course for Haupt- und Realschulen. The program includes courses in modern history, medieval history, ancient history, history education, techno-scientific culture, cultural history, social history, political history, and methodology. Students primarily study on the North Campus, which features a modern centre for humanities and educational sciences with a central institute library and computer pools.
