The Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences has designed the distance learning program 'Financial Consulting for Companies and Private Clients' for students who should be able to meet the increased demands in financial consulting. A complex legal framework largely prescribed by the European Union, increased consumer awareness, and a variety of offerings that are difficult for customers and even advisors to understand place ever-higher demands on financial advisors. At the same time, margin pressure in the traditional form of financial intermediation compensation (commission, brokerage) is increasing due to more transparent cost disclosure, more confident customers, increased administrative expenses for advisors, and not least due to the drastically reduced global interest rate level. Qualified advisors are needed who, in addition to professional qualifications, can respond to the needs of an increasingly critical and demanding customer generation. The financial advisor must be able to adapt operatively and strategically to the new market conditions. This includes using high professional and methodological competence to develop new, value-added customer potential in both private and corporate customer segments. Through in-depth consulting that goes well beyond mere product placement, these customers are addressed while simultaneously enabling value creation, e.g., through fees that pure intermediaries cannot access. The management of this complex service offering by financial consulting companies places great demands on financial consulting entrepreneurs, industry employees, and their managers, regardless of whether they are self-employed or employed by a company. This bachelor's program provides students with in-depth knowledge of financial management while optimally connecting with their daily practice. On the one hand, they will know exactly what they are doing and what they are talking about, and on the other hand, they can apply this knowledge in daily practice.
