Contemporary cultural and life-world phenomena in art, music, pop culture, sports, natural sciences, politics, etc. are explored for their connection points for religious interpretations. Religious education examines religious development and education; it explores all processes of religious teaching and learning in family, school, and community. In Rostock, cultural hermeneutic and aesthetic approaches to exploring, mediating, and appropriating religion are emphasized.
