📋 Program Hakkında
The bachelor of science degree in midwifery is composed of modules equalling 210 ECTS credit points. Offered through the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Augsburg, the program includes theoretical knowledge and profession-specific skills in the theory and practice of midwifery, theoretical medicine and natural sciences, midwifery skills, health and social sciences, and preparation for final examination. Students complete compulsory vocational work placements in various hospital settings including labour wards, outpatient pregnancy care clinics, mother-child wards, neonatal wards and intensive care units, and gynaecological surgery. Additionally, students must acquire 480 hours of out-of-hospital midwifery experience. This is a dual degree programme with vocational work placement.
