📋 Program Hakkında
The Master of Education program for teaching at high schools (Lehramt an Gymnasien) enables students to further their academic knowledge in Jewish religion, history, and culture from antiquity to contemporary movements and life worlds. At the same time, students develop didactic and pedagogical skills through independent modules and a school internship to prepare for teaching service. The program consists of Jewish Religious Studies with its subject didactics, a second academic discipline with its didactics, educational sciences, a master's thesis, and a school internship semester. It prepares students to teach Jewish religious education at high schools and is primarily intended for students who, upon obtaining their state examination, can teach religious education with the approval of the state associations of Jewish communities according to Basic Law Article 7, Paragraph 3. The M.Ed. in Jewish Religious Studies prepares for teaching activities in secondary levels I and II. The program requires 120 credit points, including 18 LP each for the two academic subjects, 13 LP each for subject didactics, 27 LP for educational sciences, 16 LP for the school internship semester, and 15 LP for the master's thesis.
✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları
* Minimum degree required: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with 50% in Jewish Studies with teaching option or equivalent qualification
* Language requirements: Hebrew knowledge equivalent to the Hebraicum of the Heidelberg School of Jewish Studies
* Subject knowledge: Knowledge of Bible and rabbinic literature equivalent to the basic courses (Mechinot) of the School of Jewish Studies
