📋 Program Hakkında

The master's degree Anglophone Literatures and Media (M.A.) is offered as a 1-subject degree by the Department of English Studies. It follows an undergraduate degree as a consecutive master's degree. The English language degree is aimed at prospective students with a relevant bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree with a linguistic orientation who wish to study English-language literature, culture and media as well as their methods and current research in depth. The focus of the degree is on the history and global contexts of literature and (inter)medial contexts in the Anglophone world, with particular attention to post-colonial and diasporic backgrounds. Within a free elective area, students can choose their own focus with regard to practical professional or academic orientation. A voluntary stay abroad enables students to gain in-depth intercultural experience and improve language skills. In the course of their studies, graduates acquire in-depth specialist knowledge of English-language literature, advanced methodological skills and sound intercultural social and personal skills. Depending on further qualifications, the degree qualifies graduates for a wide range of jobs. Potential professional fields include journalism and media as well as publishing houses and cultural institutions. There are also career opportunities in research and educational institutions as well as in business organizations, personnel training and management as well as in national and international communication.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree in English Studies, American Studies or equivalent degree. The decision on equivalence is made by the Examination Board on a case-by-case basis. * Modules totalling at least 10 credit points from the field of Anglophone literary studies. * Proof of knowledge of the English language in accordance with Section 4 (2) of the current version of the enrolment regulations of Trier University.
