📋 Program Hakkında

The Mannheim Master in Social Data Science is an interdisciplinary program of study that is unique in Germany. In courses in Sociology, Political Sciences, Business Informatics and Mathematics, students work on questions specifically from the field of Social Sciences. In this master's program, you can also attend methods courses from the Mannheim Master in Data Science program. The master's program in Social Data Science supports analytical thinking to understand complex social questions and develop data-based solutions. Since Data Science is an ever-evolving field, a program in Social Data Science also promotes life-long learning skills. Graduates are well-equipped to adapt to the changing demands of business and society in the future. Data scientist is one of the most sought-after jobs of today. Companies, governments, and NGOs are increasingly looking for experts who are able to analyze and interpret social data. ✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (particularly Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, or Media and Communication Studies) or Business Administration or Economics or a program recognized as equivalent * Good grades in the bachelor's program (at least a grade of "good" or better, equivalent to the German grade of 2.5) * At least 24 ECTS credits in quantitative methods, empirical social research, statistics or mathematics * Quantitative thesis may count for up to 6 ECTS credits toward the required 24 ECTS * Proof of proficiency in English * If bachelor's degree not yet completed, proof of at least 130 ECTS credits required

* TOEFL iBT: 90 (TOEFL MyBest scores not accepted) * First Certificate in English (FCE): Level C or better * Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) * Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) * IELTS Academic: 6.5 or better * GMAT: 600 or better * Non-standard requirements: Completion of a program of study with English as language of instruction (at least 50% of courses), University Entrance Qualification from a school with English as language of instruction, or continuous attendance of English classes throughout German secondary school with minimum average of 10 points * Test results must be obtained no more than five years prior to the application deadline
