📋 Program Hakkında

This program focuses on the study of Christianity with its traditions and texts, its history and future in the context of culture and society. It also includes the study of other religions (Judaism, Islam, etc.). The Rostock Theological Faculty summarizes its research and teaching program with the keywords 'Christianity and Culture'. Central is the question of the specificity of religious education and its contribution to a multi-perspective relationship to self, world, and God. The program explores phenomena of contemporary culture and life in art, music, pop culture, sports, natural sciences, politics, etc. with regard to their connection points for religious interpretations. The program follows a spiral curriculum covering: Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Systematic Theology, Religious History - Religion and Society, Practical Theology, Religious Education/Subject Didactics, Ecumenism - Christianity and Culture.
