The Master's program in Slavic Studies / Eastern European Studies with a focus on Russian Studies makes you a specialist for Russia and Eastern Europe in various fields. The program critically examines the language, literature, history, politics, and culture of Russia, as well as its diverse historical, linguistic, and cultural connections with neighboring countries in Central and Eastern Europe. You will often work comparatively, relating Russian language, literature, and culture to both other Slavic and non-Slavic language and cultural spheres. The historical development of Russian literature and linguistic phenomena are in focus, as well as the application of modern literary and cultural theories and linguistic methods to current Russian topics. The program offers three profiles to choose from: 'Philology', 'Literature and History', or 'Linguistics'. In addition to scientific training, you will develop various key qualifications such as academic writing, presenting and discussing scientific content, and independent research work.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları
* Bachelor's degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters at a university with a subject-related component in Slavic Studies or Polish/Russian Studies of at least 60 credit points (CP) or an equivalent degree with an equivalent scope of subject-related study and examination achievements.
* For the Master's program, a profile must be chosen from three options: 'Philology', 'Literature and History', or 'Linguistics'. The choice of a profile requires that at least 20 CP in scientific courses in the profile area were acquired during the Bachelor's program. Missing achievements can be made up.

* Russian language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference
* Skills in a second Slavic language at level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (Polish, Czech, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian or Lithuanian/Latvian/Finnish)
* For applicants who did not obtain their university entrance qualification at a German-speaking institution or complete a degree program in German: German language skills at DSH-2 level
