Understanding the mysteries of nature: This program is designed for those fascinated by discoveries in the world of physics who would like to teach children and young people about physics. The Physics Education program is part of a double major Bachelor's degree. Students repeat what was taught in school in a highly compressed form during the first semesters, allowing students who did not have physics as an upper secondary school subject to catch up. Building on this foundation, the field of classical physics is studied in greater depth with a focus on teaching methods. Study contents include introduction to physics, introduction to experimental physics, mechanics and optics, electricity and thermodynamics, teaching and reflecting on natural sciences, and advanced fundamentals of physics. The program can be combined with other majors, particularly for those aiming for teaching professions at Haupt- und Realschulen. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree, students would need to complete a Master of Education to become a teacher.
