International Technical Development is a specialization of the Interdisciplinary Engineering degree program. This specialization offers the opportunity of an international career with long-term perspectives and personal development opportunities. Through the unique combination of a sound engineering education with soft skills in management, business, foreign languages and intercultural skills, students will be optimally prepared for technical project activities in an international context. Students work on concrete projects in cooperation with institutions and companies all over the world during their studies, gaining practical experience. The specialization allows establishing an individual technical profile in the fields of mechatronics (MEC), medical technology (MED), energy technology (SEM) or environmental technology (UTE) through a variety of electives. Potential areas of application include technical project work in state-led development cooperation projects, project planning with development cooperation service providers, project management in NGO-led development cooperation projects, and engineering activities in internationally operating industrial companies.
