The Vehicle Development for Sustainable Mobility is a specialization in the bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering. The program focuses on the development of sustainable mobility solutions, particularly in the area of micromobility (electric scooters, bicycles, hoverboards). Students learn about all aspects of development and use in the mechanical engineering degree program from the fourth semester onwards. The program prepares graduates to work as development or test engineers to solve range, safety, and charging problems in the sustainable mobility sector. The curriculum includes subjects like basics of construction, manufacturing technology, information technology, material science, technical mechanics, mathematics, machine elements, CAD techniques, drive technology, thermodynamics/fluid mechanics, automation technology, basics of micromobility, electrical components, and more.
