Work with and for people is at the heart of sports science. Central topics are anchored in the areas of movement, games and sports, as well as school sports, amateur sport, high performance sports and sport for health purposes. Graduates of the supplementary subject of physical education in the Master of Education will acquire a degree that enables them to transfer to state preparatory service for teaching the subject of physical education at Gymnasium secondary schools. Beyond this, they may enter other fields of activity in sports sciences, in particular those comprising mediating, supervising, and scientific work. Graduates have skills in sports sciences, its specialised didactics, and in theory and practice of sports.
