The Freiburger Akademie zur Begabtenförderung (FAB), managed by Prof. Christoph Sischka, offers a first-class pre-degree course for highly talented young musicians aged 12 or above. It covers all main instrumental subjects or singing, as well as music theory and composition. The program includes instrument-specific supplementary fields like Liturgical Organ Playing and Piano as a Second Instrument, as well as foundations courses in ear training/solfège, music theory/partimento, elementary music practice, and voice training/singing. Course certificates count towards the entrance examination and as credit in degree programs.
