The course deals with questions and exercises on how to explore the view of part and whole in relation to language and design, and what and how one reads and what and how one looks at, thus moving from one to the other in constant activity. "(...) and it's about connecting different rhythms and actions, different breaths. Writing is very slow. By that I mean that you can't write a text in five minutes (you can't anyway), but that writing is a slowness, a detour, and we need detours, not digressive detours but approaching detours, discovering detours." (Hélenè Cixous) What detours are there to explore in language and design? And how can the respective other, in the ongoing rearrangement as well as in the becoming in movement - with incompleteness as practice and activity itself - be a detour of one and vice versa?
