The Biomedical Engineering program focuses on the interdisciplinary field of medical science. It combines biology, physics, chemistry, computer sciences, and genetics as the basis for new developments and progress in medical science. The program covers intelligent data analysis, imaging methods, high-tech equipment such as ultrasonic and X-ray systems, materials for implants, genetic technologies, and bio-microsystems technology. The curriculum imparts fundamentals of natural sciences with an interdisciplinary approach and directly relates them to practical applications. The program includes practical modules, a practical semester, and project work to prepare students for their professional life in areas such as development, construction, and programming of appliances or health care management. Students can choose from mandatory electives in Computer Sciences, Medical Engineering, Diagnostics, and Medical Technology Management.
