📋 Program Hakkında
The Rechtspfleger (Legal Administrator) program prepares students for a special role in the German public service. Rechtspflegers make independent decisions in their area of responsibility, similar to judges, and are only bound by law, not by instructions from superiors (§ 9 Rechtspflegergesetz). They work at courts and public prosecutor's offices, handling tasks previously assigned to judges. Their main areas of responsibility include: voluntary jurisdiction (managing land registers and public registers, family and guardianship courts, probate proceedings), enforcement proceedings (general enforcement, real estate enforcement, insolvency proceedings), civil disputes/criminal cases (cost assessment, legal aid, payment order procedures), and public prosecutor's offices (enforcement of prison and monetary penalties, asset recovery). As civil servants of the third qualification level, they are also often assigned administrative tasks in court administration.
