📋 Program Hakkında
The International Bachelor's program in East Asian Studies (IBO) at the University of Hamburg offers intensive language training, solid knowledge transfer about the East Asian cultural sphere, and a chosen regional focus in history and present. The study takes place predominantly in small groups with state-of-the-art technical equipment and personal supervision. The program includes a stay abroad at a university in the respective region, as well as introductions to academic work and targeted career orientation. The four-year IBO with a focus on Korean Studies imparts basic academic knowledge of the language and culture of Korea. This is achieved through the acquisition of language competence in speech and writing and through the acquisition of knowledge about Korean culture and society. Special consideration is given to the regional connection between China, Korea and Japan in historical, political-social and cultural terms.
