TechnoPhysik is a joint degree program of the Physics and Mechanical and Process Engineering departments in Kaiserslautern. The Bachelor's program aims to teach theoretical and practical foundations of modern physics and engineering sciences with a research-oriented profile. It offers the opportunity to understand the fundamentals in detail and university-level depth while maintaining a strong application focus. This is the right program for students who find pure physics too abstract but pure mechanical engineering not deep enough. The program includes classical physics, technical mechanics, mathematics, thermodynamics, materials science, quantum physics, molecular and solid-state physics, as well as measurement and control technology. Practical labs and project work support the education and prepare for the final bachelor thesis.
