📋 Program Hakkında

This Master of Science program focuses on Organismal Biology, Biodiversity and Evolution. It is an international consecutive master's program that covers areas such as organismal biology, ecology, biodiversity, evolution, molecular biology, animal/plant physiology, and related scientific disciplines. A particular focus lies on the quantitative analysis of organisms, biodiversity and evolutionary processes applying modern physiological and molecular techniques and methods of population biology. Within the first year of the program, students attend several compulsory and elective modules that advance their competencies in the field. The second year is strongly research-oriented, including a study project and the final Master Thesis. The program consists of compulsory modules (70 credits), elective modules (40 credits) and interdisciplinary elective modules (10 credits).

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* First academic degree in a biological field (minimum three years, usually a bachelor's degree of at least 180 ECTS credits or equivalent) * Special knowledge in Organismal Biology (minimum 10 ECTS credits): Knowledge of zoological and botanical organism groups in their current classification, knowledge of tissue and organ functions, form and function of selected representatives of the animal and plant kingdom * Special knowledge in Ecology, Biodiversity and/or Evolution (minimum 5 ECTS credits): Basic knowledge in ecology, biodiversity, and/or evolution * Special knowledge in Molecular Biology (minimum 5 ECTS credits): Structure and functionality of eukaryotic genomes, regulation of gene activity, molecular biological and genetic engineering methods * Special knowledge in Animal or Plant Physiology (minimum 5 ECTS credits): Anatomy, structure, function and physiology of animal and plant organs * Special knowledge in Chemistry (minimum 5 ECTS credits): General, inorganic and organic chemistry * Special knowledge in Physics (minimum 5 ECTS credits): Fundamentals of mechanics, electrodynamics, optics and quantum physics, physical methods * Special knowledge in Mathematics and/or Statistics (minimum 5 ECTS credits): Analysis and linear algebra and/or statistics (random variables, distributions, correlations, regression, test statistics)
