The Master's degree programme in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen — technische Fachrichtung Maschinenbau (Business Administration and Engineering: Mechanical Engineering) is defined by its distinct interdisciplinary nature. It contains parts of both business studies (business administration and economics) and law on the one hand, and engineering on the other to nearly the same extent. The program focuses on a smaller scale on the engineering area of specialisation than the non-business Engineering programmes. Students attend the same courses as those enrolled in the corresponding purely technical Master's programmes with respect to their technical field of studies. During the programme, it is possible to do the internship abroad as well as spend entire semesters in a foreign country.
