Physics is a teacher training program that prepares students to become physics teachers in regular schools. The program covers experimental physics (mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, optics, solid state physics, nuclear physics, atomic physics), theoretical physics (mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics), and didactic content. It includes practical components such as school experiments, internships, and a school placement semester. The program follows the Jena model with early practical experience. Students study physics alongside a second subject of their choice, with the option to add astronomy as a third subject from the 4th year.

* University entrance qualification (such as general secondary school leaving certificate) * Initial internship lasting 240 hours (can be completed before starting studies or before the third semester) * Very good knowledge of the German language * Interest in scientific issues * Solid knowledge of school maths
