The Health Care and Sports Engineering program combines typical engineering disciplines such as materials engineering, construction, product design, and production techniques with a fundamental understanding of the human organism. The program emphasizes profound knowledge in anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology as the basis for developing new products in the sports and health care sectors. It imparts fundamentals of natural sciences with an interdisciplinary approach and directly relates them to practical applications. The curriculum includes practical modules, a practical semester, and project work to prepare students for their professional life. Mandatory electives include Training Devices, Mobility and Safety, Assistive Technologies, and Healthy Working Environments. Previously, this course was offered under the name 'Sports and Health Care Engineering' before the 2023 summer semester.
