The study of educational science of psychosocial disabilities focuses on the participation-oriented education of children and adolescents with special consideration of psychosocial impairment. On the basis of psychoanalytic approaches, a deeper understanding of observable behavior in the context of school is pursued, both from a disciplinary and professionalization perspective. The study of educational science of psychosocial disabilities follows the concept of casuistic teacher education through case work and self-reflection. The program structure combines two special education specializations: one in-depth study (90 credit points) and one qualifying study (30 credit points). The program is supplemented by educational science and didactics of elementary school or didactics of a subject group of middle school.

* Interest in special and inclusive education issues, qualitative research, and a psychoanalytic approach to emotional experience and behavior as well as to education * Ability and motivation to mentalize, to engage in case work and self-reflection * Ability to intentionally foster conducive relationships with emotionally and socially impaired children and adolescents and their relatives * It is recommended to complete the orientation internship before starting the study program

* English: B2 CEFR level required by the time of registration for the state examination if English is not chosen as a teaching subject or as part of the didactics of elementary or middle school
