📋 Program Hakkında

The Sports program for primary school teaching prepares students for scientifically-based and pedagogically responsible activities in physical education. The program includes both scientific-theoretical and practical-methodological teaching with content primarily related to school sports. The study is divided into introductory courses in sports science, courses in specialized sciences (movement science, biomechanics, sports medicine, sports pedagogy, sports psychology, sports sociology, training science), and courses on theory and practice of sports movements. Typical school sports, sports games, athletics, gymnastics, dance, swimming, martial arts, and selected winter and water sports are emphasized. The program leads to the First State Examination as a prerequisite for the teaching profession, though graduates may also pursue careers in health sports, tourism, sports media, or commercial sports providers.

* General requirement: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) * Participation in the CCT self-exploration procedure * Passed sports aptitude test * Medical certificate of no objection * Experience in guiding sports activities for children and youth as well as personal training and competition experience in sports practice is desirable
