📋 Program Hakkında
The Master's program 'Research in Politics and Democracy' focuses on the scientific study of factors that threaten the continued existence of liberal democracy. Students learn to develop theoretically sound hypotheses, systematically test and further develop them based on current research. The program emphasizes quantitative methods of empirical social research and prepares students for various attractive professional fields. Typical questions addressed in the program include: Who votes for whom and why? How can the rise of populist parties in liberal democracies be explained? What possibilities does a liberal democracy have to defend itself against undermining through 'fake news' and 'bullshit'? Are democracies inherently more efficient than autocracies?
