This is a dual Bachelor's program in Social Work offered by HSW in cooperation with Kolping University of Applied Sciences for Health and Social Services. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, preparing students for various challenges in social work - from child and youth welfare to adult work, family assistance, and issues of migration, integration, and inclusion. Students learn to develop concepts and methods to support people in difficult life situations, whether dealing with family problems, addiction issues, or integration into society. The program also addresses innovative approaches to dealing with digitality and social inequality. The study model consists of various teaching and learning units: students typically work in practice from Monday to Wednesday, with virtual lectures on Thursday and Friday. Additionally, students come to HSW approximately every four weeks for 'Case Days' focusing on personal development through group work or workshops.
