📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's program in Social Work at the University of Economics and Society is research-oriented and socially scientific. Students can research social work in its social-institutional (self-)integration, conflict and tension relationships together with committed teachers. From a (power-)critical perspective, they analyze and reflect on these relationships and the positions of the actors within them, and explore possibilities for overcoming ideological and structural (self-)limitations. The program centers around an intensively supervised practice research project, which serves to deepen the ability for scientific reflection and to address students' own social work questions and interests. Other focuses of the program include theory modules on social work, everyday life and subject, and social conditions and interactions.

* First qualifying university degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Social Work or a related field with 210 ECTS * Applicants with less than 210 ECTS may be admitted if missing competencies can be compensated through university or non-university achievements at bachelor level * For applicants who haven't completed their bachelor's degree: must complete it within one semester after enrollment, with no more than 30 credit points remaining, and must have already registered their final thesis
