The Bachelor's degree course in Sustainable Materials and Process Engineering at the University of Kassel focuses on developing innovative solutions for an environmentally friendly world. Students acquire in-depth knowledge of the entire product life cycle - from raw material extraction to recycling - and actively shape the sustainable transformation of industry and society. The course combines engineering fundamentals with a strong focus on sustainability, teaching how materials and processes can be made more sustainable along the entire product life cycle. Content includes materials science, process engineering, chemistry and digitalization. The program offers specialization areas in: Efficient process technology for energy and materials, Materials design and circular economy, and Sustainable industrial transformations. The course includes practical projects, laboratory units, and opportunities for international exchange through the Erasmus program.
