The Electrical Engineering - Automation Bachelor program focuses on the increasing interconnection of various technical systems in production. The program provides broad knowledge across electrical engineering with a focus on automation. Students learn how cars are electrified and intelligent, how production processes are automated, and how electronics, mechanics, and computer science interact in manufacturing. The first year serves as an orientation with engineering and scientific basics, after which students choose a specialization in either Automation Industry 4.0, Networked Electromobility, or Mechatronics. The program includes practical experience, such as developing an electric racing car with the Formula Student Motorsport team. Graduates work as engineers in development, research and production, as application engineers, or as project managers in automation projects.
