This is a teaching degree program for special education schools with a focus on two specializations: Education for People with Intellectual Disabilities (Geistigbehindertenpädagogik) and Education for People with Behavioral Disorders (Verhaltensgestörtenpädagogik). The program prepares students to become special education teachers. The intellectual disabilities specialization covers topics such as autism, behavioral issues, aging with intellectual disabilities, living arrangements, vocational rehabilitation, and creative expression. The behavioral disorders specialization covers theoretical foundations, prevention and intervention methods, diagnosis and classification of emotional and behavioral disorders, crisis management, and professional reflection in practical situations.
