The Master of Education in Russian program deepens students' knowledge of linguistics and literary studies while providing comprehensive training in Russian language teaching methodology. Students learn innovative ways to convey linguistic, literary, and cultural content in an engaging and age-appropriate manner. The program addresses challenges in Russian language instruction, including how to integrate diverse student needs, language backgrounds, and cultural contexts into teaching; how to prepare and convey cultural content about Russia in an age-appropriate way; and methods to promote different language competencies (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, etc.) and communication skills. Beyond teaching methodology, students expand their academic perspectives from their bachelor's studies by analyzing literary works from different periods in their historical and cultural contexts, studying Russian language development, and examining Russia's social and cultural dynamics from its beginnings to the present. The program emphasizes connecting theory and practice, preparing students to make complex linguistic, literary, and cultural content accessible for classroom teaching.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Minimum degree required: Bachelor of Education with focus on teaching at Gymnasiums (high schools) in the same subjects from a university in Rhineland-Palatinate or an equivalent degree * For applicants who have not yet received their Bachelor's degree: Must have earned at least 135 credit points in their Bachelor's program and provide an official certificate of all completed coursework and examinations including the current average grade * For international applicants: German language proficiency at DSH-2 level is required if the university entrance qualification or previous degree was not obtained at a German-speaking institution
