The program bridges scientific research with industrial and economic applications. Students learn to formulate and solve practical problems from business and industry using scientific methods. Research results are made usable for application, taking into account aspects of technical feasibility and marketing. Working in international and interdisciplinary teams is also an important aspect. The program is problem-oriented, starting with a practical problem from business and industry that is to be solved using scientific methods (the project task). The study is divided into three equally weighted components: the study component (at RPTU), the application component (in a company or institution outside the university), and the research component (at a research institution outside the university).
