📋 Program Hakkında
The program trains archivists for the 3rd qualification level (formerly known as Higher Archive Service). Since 1924, Bavaria has had a specialized career path for this qualification level. Based on the Bavarian Archive Law, public archives are responsible for archiving documents from public institutions in Bavaria - including state, municipal, university, and other public law entities. This involves assessing, preserving, organizing, and making accessible various documents including files, certificates, maps, film and audio documents, and digital data from the 8th century to the present day. The university studies enable future archivists to handle diverse materials spanning over 1,200 years. The program focuses on archival science, historical studies, administrative sciences, and technical subjects, along with intensive training in archive administration practice.
