📋 Program Hakkında

The master's degree program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at KIT offers students the opportunity to design their studies flexibly and individually with a clear focus on research-oriented teaching and practice-oriented work. The program is characterized by a wide range of elective options. Students complete a Field of Specialization (60 CP) which includes Fundamentals (24 or 30 CP), a Focus Area (min. 24 CP), and a Lab Course. Students can choose from specializations in: Electrical Power Systems and Electromobility, Information and Communication Technology, Automation, Robotics, and Systems Engineering, or Microelectronics, Photonics, and Quantum Technologies. The program also includes Electives (24 CP) and Interdisciplinary Qualifications (6 CP). The degree concludes with a master's thesis worth 30 CP.

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or a related program with essentially the same content * Minimum knowledge in Advanced Mathematics (14 CP) * Minimum knowledge in Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (19 CP) * Minimum knowledge in Digital Technology, Information Technology and Systems Engineering (17 CP) * Subject-specific suitability assessment with at least 50 assessment points * Possible interview if assessment points are below 50

* English language skills at CEFR level B2 or higher * TOEFL iBT: at least 90 points * IELTS: overall score of at least 6.5, no section below 5.5 * TOEIC: at least 400 points in Listening, 385 in Reading, 160 in Speaking, 150 in Writing * Cambridge Certificate C1 Advanced (CAE) * Cambridge Certificate C2 Proficiency (CPE) * Cambridge Certificate B2 First (FCE) * UNIcert, at least level II * Pearson PTE Academic: at least 58.5 points overall
