The Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (etit) covers all fields of modern electrical and information engineering. Founded in 1882 by Erasmus Kittler, it established electrical engineering in the engineering sciences. Today, it is one of Germany's leading institutions due to its international orientation and interdisciplinary networking. The department follows the guiding principle 'Quality and innovation by tradition'.
