📋 Program Hakkında

The Scenography/Interior Design program in the field of Spatial Strategies deals with the theme of space and the possibilities of its design in the sense of an expanded, dynamic concept of space. Content focuses are cultural, social and public spaces, media spaces, communication and interaction spaces as well as intersections of imaginary and real (surrounding) space worlds. Developing concepts for the mentioned scenographic spaces and their uses, professionally presenting them at all levels, communicating and implementing them is seen as the central competence of the students. This includes both interdisciplinary artistic-scientific project development and individual creative engagement in relation to a wide variety of spatial effects. The atmospheric-phenomenological aspects of scenography and staging are at the center of the development and design, especially of exhibitions and museums as learning and experience spaces. Implementation takes place in the development of prototypical or singular objects and installations as interventions in mostly predetermined or temporary spatial structures and leads to the development of new space and usage concepts up to space-ordering and structuring systems. In particular, the B.A. program develops design skills and the necessary constructive-technical knowledge for independent design. The goal is professional competence to be able to act and work reflectively both independently and as a team member in response to constantly changing requirements within developing and open professional fields.
