📋 Program Hakkında

In the subject of Latin in the Master of Education degree program, students acquire knowledge of the Latin language as well as Latin literary studies, linguistics and cultural studies. Students deepen their language skills by expanding their knowledge of vocabulary, syntax and style, and translating complex German sentences into Latin. The program focuses on literary studies, teaching students to work with research problems and methods of Latin philology while acquiring knowledge of Latin literature. The Master of Education emphasizes educational sciences and subject didactics, including language teaching theories and the role of Latin in multilingual teaching. Students study foreign language teaching methodologies with consideration for language and cultural differences. The program includes a practical semester, and students must choose a second subject alongside Latin as well as Educational Sciences.

* University degree (German or non-German) in a relevant discipline * German language proficiency (DSH level 3, CEFR level C2, as per DSH exam regulations) * Latin and Greek proficiency certificates required * Specific modules: 67 ECTS credits each for the subject knowledge/subject didactics modules in the chosen school subjects (with 3 ECTS credits each for subject didactics) | 24 ECTS credits for educational sciences (with 3 ECTS credits for the topic of inclusion; aptitude and orientation internship as well as vocational internship) | Bachelor's thesis 7 ECTS credits * 9 weeks internship, including 25 days at a school
