Sayısal hesaplama ve simülasyon, günümüzün bilgisayar destekli geliştirme ve bilgisayar destekli mühendislik (CAE) süreçlerinin ayrılmaz parçalarıdır. Yeni donanım ve yazılımların son derece hızlı ortaya çıkışı, mühendislikte sayısal yöntemler için sürekli yeni uygulama alanları açmakta ve hesaplamalı mühendislik alt disiplinini doğurmuştur. Bu Master derecesi programının mezunları, uzmanlıklarını araştırma ve yenilikçi ürün geliştirme süreçlerinde uygulayan sayısal ve hesaplamalı yöntemler konusunda uzmanlardır. Bu üç dönemlik lisans programı, öğrencilerin seçmeli modül kataloglarından kendi müfredatlarını oluşturmalarına olanak tanır. Çoğu modül, sonlu elemanlar yönteminden (FEM) sayısal CFD'ye, çoklu cisim simülasyonuna ve mühendislik fiziği veya akışkan-yapı etkileşimi gibi konulara kadar sayısal yöntemlerle ilgilidir. Program, fizik, katı cisim ve akışkanlar mekaniği ve malzeme teorisi konusundaki teorik bilgiyi genişletir.

Numerical computation and simulation are integral parts of today's computer-assisted development and computer-aided engineering (CAE) processes. The extremely rapid pace at which new hardware and software is emerging is constantly opening up new fields of application for numerical methods in engineering and has given rise to the subdiscipline of computational engineering. Graduates of this Master's degree course are specialists in numerical and computational methods who apply their expertise in research and in innovative product development processes. This three-semester degree course allows students to put together their own curriculum from catalogues of elective modules. Most modules relate to numerical methods, ranging from the finite element method (FEM) to numerical CFD, multibody simulation, and aspects of engineering physics or fluid-structure interaction. The course extends theoretical knowledge of physics, solid body and fluid mechanics, and theory of materials.
