Chemistry Education is offered as a major or minor within the two-subject Bachelor's degree programme. The program focuses on elements and compounds, properties and chemical change of substances, and preparing students to teach these topics. Study contents include general chemistry, basics of organic and inorganic chemistry, physics, mathematics for chemists, physical chemistry, teaching natural sciences, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry. The program can be pursued with different study objectives including Teacher Training Course for Gymnasien, Teacher Training Course for Haupt- und Realschulen, or a subject-specific study goal. Students primarily study on the North Campus, which features a modern centre for humanities and educational sciences.
