The course 'Sprache und Gestalt' (Language and Form) is part of the Communication Design program at Muthesius Kunsthochschule. It introduces language as an instrument to transform simple information into attention-grabbing, relevant, and effective messages. The course explores how language can take shape through typography and how it can be integrated into other sign systems to create new, impressive, and often surprising communication solutions. This applies to tasks in cultural areas as well as in social and economic communication. Beyond systematic, goal-oriented work with language, the course also offers extensive opportunities for freer and more artistic approaches. After learning the basics in the first semesters, students will have the opportunity in higher semesters to develop their personal style and creative designer personality while deepening their specific language skills.
